Hey,

So thanks to William our bathroom is much better. Our floor has some work ahead of it. However, we now have a large couch, which has seating for everyone. We would be happy to host Friday. Besides William wants to tinker with our floor. We are open to making dinner or just desert. Let me know what you guys think.

Sorry to skip out on you all last weekend! It was nice to see my grandparents, though. But, we did miss all of you! Jake had that cruddy stuff that's going around and a fever anyway. So, you might not have wanted to be around us! All's good now, though!

Anybody up for a Christmas Parade??

I sent emails out, but I wanted to make sure that you all got it. The Collierville Christmas Parade is this Friday night. It's actually really good, and low key. We have always been able to find a space up front. As of now, the meeting place can be my mom's. We can all park there and walk. Then, we can come back to eat, hang out, whatever. I know that the Morton's have said that they are in. What does everyone think??

Hi gang- the Morton family will be out of town this weekend for fall break. We won't be at small group this weekend. See you next week-end. Also, if anyone wants to help with fall fest, we are in charge of the circus hall and the space hall and could use volunteers to take a shift for a game.

slowly dwindling

So, it seems, our small group has become...smaller. What I posted last week about our dedication level still stands. We would love to have a lesson this week. Can anyone host?

How about some Nooma? Nooma anyone?

Ok- I know that we all did the whole "rededicating to the small group" thing. No one should feel bad about not coming lately. Yes, we all love one another, yes, we are all dedicated to one another. Life is just crazy right now...for everyone. We have been slack on weeks when only a few people could come. We have even cancelled meeting for that very reason. Maybe Friday night is not the most reasonable night every week. I don't know. I do know; however, that I have missed the time with you all. I am also missing the lesson time. Back when we met with Ian, we were going to try out this new system and see how it would work. I don't think that it is working. For our lesson day, would it be easier to maybe go back to Sunday afternoons(maybe at church again). For those of us with kids, we could get 1-2 teens to babysit on site. It is something to think about...BUT for this week...

Can someone pony up for hosting Friday night for our Nooma lesson? That would be great!

We put the FUN in dysfunctional

How's this for dysfunction?? My sister's boyfriend (the G'town PD) was was just involved in arresting my dad's girlfriend's daughter!! Yea my life! Anyway, it goes down like this: My dad's girlfriend's daughter is in, I think, tenth grade. This summer, she has been acting out and getting involved in drugs, alcohol, sex, and all that. She's spent time at grandparents, etc. Her mom is thinking about putting her in long term treatment facility because she's out of control. Last Friday, my sis's boyfriend was called to the house becuase daughter had run away (nice moment of recognition when my Dad walks in the door). Anyway, she was found. G'town PD decide that anytime this girl does anything else, she's to be arrested because she's a nutcase. Well, this afternoon, she blows a circuit and starts hitting/slapping her mom. My dad tries to intervene, and she starts hitting/kicking him. They have her in a squad car now, and are going to take her to 201 for domestic violence/assault.
